What type of people will I be dining with?

SCS members range in age from late 20's to mid-60's, with the majority of members being between the ages of 35-55. Our membership is well educated, successful, and draws from many professions and interests. This is not a club for couples only, anyone with a passion for good food and good conversation is encouraged to join—singles too!

What should I wear to the dinner events?

Dress comfortably, but nice (a dinner jacket for guys, casual elegance for women). When dressier attire is appropriate, it is specified for the event.

How many people attend each dinner?

The number of people dining at dinner events varies, depending on the size of the venue and how many people have reserved for that specific dinner.

What will the dinners cost?

Although membership is free, every dinner will have a cost associated with it, dependent upon the dining establishment, menu complexity, etc. Cost for each event will be specified in advance. Prices at each venue will vary, but some may exceed $100/person, especially wine dinners and chef demonstrations, so having a comfortable dining budget is a must.

How are the restaurants chosen?

We research area restaurants that offer interesting, unusual, and exceptional menu offerings. If you have a venue you would like to recommend, let us know.

Is there a set date for dinners?

There is an equal mix of members preferring week nights to weekend dining, so dates will alternate so everyone has a chance to participate. For consistency, dinners will be scheduled in the first week of each month. Weeknight dinners will likely fall on Monday or Thursday evenings.
